Privacy policy.

What we collect, what we do with it, and how text messaging works. Written in plain English, and limited to things we actually do.

What we collect

The information you give us, and the ordinary record of a visit.

Velocity Build AI LLC is a North Carolina company. It builds custom software, websites, data services, and AI solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, and it operates some of that software on behalf of the businesses that hire it. This policy covers velocitybuild.ai and the messaging that runs through the systems we operate.

The form on this site. Whatever you type into it: your business name, what the business does, the tools you use now, where you are with software today, the project or the bottleneck you want gone, a budget range, timing, your name, your email, your role in the decision, how you found us, and your phone number if you choose to give one. The phone field is optional and always has been.

What you write to us. If you email us, reply to a message, or send us something during a project, we have what you sent.

Client project data. When a business hires us, the work happens inside its systems and its data: customer records, inventory, bookings, documents, whatever the build touches. That data belongs to the client. What we may do with it is set by the agreement with that client, and this page does not loosen it.

Ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider records the normal things a web server records, including IP addresses and request times. We do not build profiles from them. Separately, if the form fails to reach us, the submission is written to that provider’s runtime log on purpose, so that somebody who typed out their whole project does not silently disappear. That copy ages out with the provider’s log retention and is never used for anything except recovering the message.

What we do with it

We read it and we answer you.

Submissions from the form are delivered to us by email and go to a person. There is no marketing database behind this site, no lead list, and no automated sequence that starts sending you things.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker, and we do not pass it to anyone else so they can market to you.

We do use ordinary vendors to run the business: a hosting provider for this site, an email provider to deliver the form, messaging providers to carry a text, and AI and infrastructure providers to do the engineering work. They handle data on our behalf, under their own terms, so that the service works. That is not the same thing as selling it, and we do not do the second one.

We will hand over information if the law actually requires it, and we will tell you when that happens unless we are barred from telling you.

Text messaging

How SMS and text messaging work here.

This covers text messages sent by Velocity Build AI, and text messages sent by the systems Velocity Build AI builds and operates for other businesses.

How you opt in

You get a text only after you ask for one. There are two ways that happens, and they are different.

Texts from Velocity Build AI. You give us your mobile number, on the form on this site or in writing during a project, and you tell us at that moment that you want us to text you about your inquiry or your build. Consent is collected where the number is collected, next to a plain description of what the messages are for. Giving us a phone number by itself is not consent to be texted. We do not text numbers taken from a call, a purchase, a referral, or a list somebody bought, and we do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Texts from a business we operate software for. Velocity Build AI also builds and runs messaging inside software for other businesses, for example a booking system that texts a guest about their reservation. In that case the business you dealt with is the sender, and the opt-in is with them: you gave your mobile number and agreed to be texted at the point you booked, ordered, requested service, or asked to be contacted, with the consent language sitting right there beside the field where you typed the number. Velocity Build AI runs the system on that business’s behalf. Your consent stays with that business. It is not transferred, resold, or reused for anyone else.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

The messages follow your project, your booking, or your request rather than a schedule, so there is no fixed number of messages per week or per month. Any message and data rates are between you and your mobile carrier. Velocity Build AI does not charge you to receive a text. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping the messages, and getting help

Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will get one confirmation that the messages have stopped, and then nothing further from that sender. Reply HELP to any message for help, and you will get a reply identifying who is texting you and how to reach a person. You can also email support@velocitybuild.ai and ask to be removed, and we will do it.

Your number and your consent are not for sale

No mobile information, SMS opt-in data, or consent will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile numbers and opt-in records are used only to send the messages you agreed to receive. The only outside parties that touch them are the messaging providers that carry the message for us, and those providers may use them only to deliver it.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not follow you around.

The pages on velocitybuild.ai set no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and no session recording. The fonts and images load from this domain rather than from a content network, so opening a page here does not tell some other company that you were here.

There is one exception and it is worth naming. We sometimes send a client a private link to a walkthrough video. If that video is hosted on YouTube, the player loads from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube’s own terms cover that playback. Nothing you can reach from the menu on this site does that.

If any of this changes, this section changes with it and the date at the top of the page moves.

Your information, your call

How long we keep it, and how to get it back out.

How long we keep it

Messages from the form sit in our inbox. We keep them while there is a reason to, which in practice means while we are talking with you or working with you. Client project data is kept for as long as the agreement with that client provides, and no longer.

Asking what we have

Email support@velocitybuild.ai. Ask what we have on you, ask us to fix something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Say which one you want and we will do it. There is no form to fill out and no account to create.

Security

We use the ordinary protections you would expect. Traffic is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people doing the work, and credentials live in a password manager rather than a spreadsheet. No system is perfect, and we are not going to tell you ours is.

Children

Velocity Build AI sells to businesses. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

When what we do changes, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. What you are reading is the current version.
